After talks with governments, academics and American foundations, it was decided to proceed with the foundation of a new college in Cambridge which would be the national and Commonwealth memorial to Churchill and which would bear his name. Today the College has 110 Fellows, 195 postgraduates and 370 undergraduates and, through its distinguished Fellowship, high academic standards and its output of able graduates, makes a major contribution to learning and research.
